Thursday, October 25th, 2007On our way back from Graz I suddenly saw the reflection of the sun in the landscape, or better, in the waters… What a beautiful way to visualize our route. This is not a traveling shade, also a possible view from out of an airplane, but a traveling light….

NomadicMILK project takes part in the UN/FAIR Trade exhibition at Neue Galerie Graz, AT
At first I had to get used to the very political name and context of the exhibition, but Peter Weibel and Guenther Holler-Schuster the curates of the show, managed to present an convincing combination of relevant artworks, that gave me the feeling that trade in itself is an theme worthwhile. The pieces presented do give an overview of possible approaches: from very critical, to very political correct but also some straightforward cynical works.
The short video reportage of our presentation in Graz shows how we stick to our approach: food production in relation to experience of space. And in this case also an emphasis on GPS-visualization as storytelling tool.
Presentation at Upgrade!
Thursday, March 22nd, 2007Last night we did a nice presentation of the project at Ugrade!, an international series of evenings on art, technology, and it claims a commitment to bridging cultural divides. This evening was devoted to ‘locative media’.
Se we felt really at home… The video shows how we operate the robot. It looks really nice already, but it is clear that the robot’s drawing skills still need some improvements!
